This ground floor 1-bedroom house to rent on Calle de Valderribas is deceptively gorgeous. The front hallway doesn’t look like much, but when you spot the kitchen and living area to the left, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the elegance. There is an exposed brick wall in the living area, which is furnished with a sofa, TV and other pieces. The equipped kitchen is sleek, with a 3-seat counter table, as well as a dishwasher. To the right of the door is the cozy, but comfortable bedroom, as well as the bathroom, which has white brick tiles and a shower.
Lavapiés is a diverse and lively neighborhood. You are located 6 minutes away from the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, which houses wonderful 20th century art. Teatro del Barrio is just 3 minutes away, and you can catch a movie at Cine Doré, which is 5 minutes away. There are an abundance of fast food restaurants nearby. However, look a little harder and you’ll find some local restaurants, as well as tapas and cocktail bars. When you want a night in your new home, you can pick up groceries at the Mercadona supermarket, which is across the street from Teatro Circo Price, just 6 minutes from your door.
What we liked the most
- The bedroom isn’t huge, but the house is stylish with a cosmopolitan feel.
- You’ll find some wonderful little tapas and cocktail bars within a few blocks from your home.
- The Royal Botanical Garden is only 12 minutes away.
- You can walk to the city center in roughly 15 minutes.
