This terrific 1-bedroom apartment to rent on Rue du Maine is on the 2nd floor. There isn’t an elevator, but it’s a short walk upstairs. The front door opens into a bright kitchen. There is a toilet room to the left and a bathroom to the right. The equipped kitchen is modern and the counter stretches the short corridor toward the living area. It’s a roomy spot with a casual dining table and trendy furnishings including a sofa, chairs and TV. A window with blinds hides the double bedroom. But you can open them up to get extra light from the large window in the room.
The Bohemian spirit is alive and well in the 14th arrondissement. This neighborhood is full of cool bars, hip cafés and trendy restaurants. It’s also home to some unusual tourist sites like the Montparnasse Cemetery and the Catacombs of Paris tunnel complex. Your new home is close to three performance venues including the Gaîté-Montparnasse Theater. There are two cinemas within a 5-minute walk, and there is a Monoprix supermarket just 2 minutes away.
What we liked the most
- The kitchen is cool, unique and equipped.
- The living area is larger than you might expect.
- The bedroom gets the most light, but the whole apartment is bright.
- You’re well connected by a few nearby Metro stations.
