The building of this 2-bedroom apartment to rent on Via Irnerio has an elevator to the 4th floor. You’re on the 5th, so you’ll need to walk a flight of stairs; consider it your daily workout. Plus, with a terrace, a balcony, and cozy bedrooms, there are plenty of spots to put your feet up afterwards. A converted-attic apartment, this space has gorgeous views of the city, as well as sloped exposed wood ceilings and roof windows. Furnishings are a blend of modern and eclectic-chic styles. The living room has a relaxing sofa and a TV, and the dining room is a sunny spot with a foldable table, bookshelf and a desk. There is a washing machine in one of the 2 bathrooms, and the equipped kitchen, with a gorgeous gas stove, offers plenty of counter space to whip up a gourmet meal.
Irnerio is so central that it only takes you 8 minutes to walk to the center of the city. If you have a car, you’ll love that your new home is just outside the limited traffic zone. Of course, you don’t really need a car, because there is so much within walking distance. The medieval University of Bologna is directly down your street and around the corner. Even if you aren’t a student, this historic school is worth a visit. In Montagnola Park, 2 minutes away, you can visit a 14th century castle. You can pick up goods at the nearby La Piazzola di Bologna market and grab groceries at the Meta supermarket 3 minutes away. However, if you want special items, head over to the Asia Mach. It’s a 6-minute walk and located across the street from a health food store.
What we liked the most
- You might have to walk up a flight of stairs, but the view of the city from your balcony and terrace will make it worth it.
- The location is so convenient that you can walk to many of Bologna’s most famous sights.
- There is a health club located just 6 minutes north of your apartment.
- You’ll find many restaurants in the area, as well as a pastry shop a few doors down the street.
Things to keep in mind
- Some roof maintenance is currently taking place, so you can expect to see a bit of scaffolding.
