Spotahome's opinion

Escape from the heat of the Barcelona summer in this charming and cooling 2-bedroom apartment in Poble Sec. The 60 m² apartment is modern and recently renovated, but in a way that retains the buildings more rustic original feel. The brickwork is left exposed, and the window frames are an attractive mottled wood. The apartment is well furnished, in a modern style, and has both exterior and interior balconies.

The location, on Carrer de Lleida in Poble Sec, is a wonderful one. There's so much to see and do in this area, you'll never be bored. The street is right next to the areas of the 1929 International Exhibition, which means lots of museums and other cultural site, and some magnificent architecture too. The 1992 Olympics site is also nearby. And it is just a short walk to the base of Monjuïc.

What we liked the most

  • We love the vaulted brick ceilings. Gorgeous feature!
  • Bedroom 2 has a set of twin beds which can be put together to make a double bed.
  • As well as 1 full bathroom, there is a separate toilet room, so you won't be dancing outside the door waiting for somebody to finish showering!
  • For shopping and dining just head to Avenida del Paral·lel, a couple of minute's walk away. The whole area has more than enough to keep you entertained, and there's a big shopping centre at Plaça Espanya too.
  • Montjuïc is less than 15 minute's walk away (although the walk to the top might take a little longer!) and the views from the top are spectacular.
