Let's start at the beginning:
This small-but-perfectly formed 2-bedroom apartment has 1 bedroom for rent. The other is occupied by the live-in landlady.
At 80 m² it's cosy, but not too cosy. The decor is very all-white. We love the peace-heart-skull motif on the living-room wall. (And the huge painting of a bridge. What bridge? Sorry, we are not that smart...)
The kitchen is immaculate. Perfect. Brand new. Clean. You get the idea. There is a tiny breakfast bar and all the utensils you need to cook up a carbonara.
Did we mention the terrace?
The terrace is cool. Table and chairs. Potted palm trees. What a great place to sit and read or chat with a friend when the summer shadows lengthen.
We reckon this is an apartment for clean, tidy, thoughtful people. If that sounds like you, then hop to it: click, click, done.
Oh, nearly forgot!
It's in Monte Sacro. This is a peaceful place. Residential and chilled. You're a 15–20 minute journey from the centre, which is about perfect. You can dip in-and-out of the chaos and wonder of Rome.
Close to home you have Iti Sushi. As 1 Google reviewer says: "Local very good! You eat really well! Recommended."

What we liked the most
- The terrace: potted plants and a chill-out vibe. When summer comes calling, that's where you'll find us.
- The cleanliness. It really is immaculate.
- The decor and furnishings push other apartments into the shadows. Most apartments are not this perfectly designed.
- The bedroom has classy furniture and a strange-but-cool submarine window with bespoke turquoise stripe. It's certainly different.
- Going back to the bedroom: It's the perfect private space to chill out. It even has a wall-mounted TV.
- Ensuite bathroom! 'Nuff said.
- If you want to avoid the tourists, and you really do, Monte Sacro is a good solid choice.
Things to keep in mind
- You will be living with the landlady, and this is clearly an exquisite and cared-for home. So if you do book here, you will need to show the same love and care for her home as the landlady does herself. But is that really so much to ask?
- No Wi-Fi here, amico.
