This 1-bedroom apartment to rent on Via Licia has an economical common area, but it’s bright, modern and comfortable. When you enter through the secure door, you walk right into the living room, where there is a sofa and a flatscreen TV affixed to the wall. The sofa faces toward the kitchen, which is fully equipped and has a counter table with two chairs. The bedroom and bathroom are actually quite spacious, not to mention gorgeous, and you’ll find a washing machine in the contemporary bathroom as well. This is a perfectly cozy apartment close to the metro.
Located in San Giovanni, you are off the well-trodden path of tourists. If you’re looking to live like a local, you can immerse yourself in Roman culture here. The major sight of this district is the San Giovanni Basilica, but there is an interesting museum of Roman walls and roads you can visit with an 10-minute walk. You can count on a number of supermarkets, fresh produce markets and restaurants just steps from your door, and there is a gym and a spa nearby. You can walk into the metropolitan center in 45 minutes. Taking public transportation will only shave off 15 minutes, so you might as well get a fantastic historical tour on the way!
What we liked the most
- The apartment is small, but it’s bright, comfortable and really quite lovely.
- The neighborhood doesn’t have a large number of tourist spots, so you can avoid the massive crowds while living close to downtown.
- The large and beautiful Parco degli Scipioni is only 5 minutes from your door.
- You won’t have to go far to get groceries or to join locals watching a football match in a local bar.
