Trieste is historic, tranquil and perfect for an authentic living experience in Rome. The neighbourhood is just north of the city centre, meaning it's very easy to get to any historic sites you'd like to explore. Trieste is just as old as Rome and the northern area is known as the African Quarter, because the streets are named after Italy's former African colonies.
