This 85 m², 1-bedroom apartment to rent on Via di San Francesco di Sales, in Trastevere, exudes elegance. It is spacious, gorgeous and bright, and oozes Italian style. Our favourite features include the peaceful terrace, overlooking the garden; the contemporary kitchen, and the sumptuous bedroom with gorgeous tiled floors and antique furniture.

Upstairs, there is a secret study with gorgeous wooden rafters - a delightful surprise.

This is a beautiful area of the city, just moments from a stroll along the banks of the Tiber. Parco Gianicolo is behind the apartment building, and nearby you can find Orto Botanico botanical gardens too. The streets around the apartment are more residential but it just a short walk away to the stunning, cafe lined streets surrounding Basilica di Santa Maria.

What we liked the most

  • We love the terrace! A great place to have breakfast in the morning.
  • The cosy study feels like a secret den - the ideal place to get away from it all!
  • The kitchen is very up to date, and has an oven and a gas stove.
  • Take a wander down Via dell Scala to get a proper idea of the beauty of this area. You probably won't want to leave.
  • And lest we forget; the Tiber is just moments away. What better way to spend a hot summer's day than strolling in the shade along the banks of the river?
