Documents required

Firstly, please grab the following documents. You’ll need them in the next stage of your application, and you won’t be able to make a booking without them.

If you are a professional, you need to provide:

  • ID or Passport
  • Proof of income (3x higher than the rent and charges)
  • Residence permit (signed employment contract or offer letter from your future employer should work too).

If you are a student, you need the same documents from your guarantor.

Why do I need these documents?

Landlord policies

  • Languages spoken: English, Spanish
  • Lives on property: no
  • Minimum age for tenants: 18
  • Maximum age for tenants: 35
  • Payment method: cash; bank transfer
  • Bed linen is NOT included. Tenants must provide their own
  • Couples: rooms which permit couples will have to pay an extra cost of €150 per month
  • Final cleaning fee: €75 which will be deducted from the deposit
  • 15-day booking policy:
    • Your move-in date must be within 15 days of the availability date
    • For example: If the previous tenant leaves on July 1, you must move in by July 15
  • Documents required:
    • ID / Passport
    • Work Contract (if applicable)
    • University Acceptance letter (if applicable)
  • Check-in policies:
    • Monday–Friday, 15:00–19:00: free
    • Monday–Friday, 19:00–22:00: €60
    • Weekends and Bank Holidays, 15:00–19:00: €90
    • Any other time: check-in not available
  • Booking policy:
    • If the tenant wishes to extend the contract, the landlord needs to be notified at least 30 days in advance.
    • The landlord will not accept booking requests made more than 60 days before the move-in date
    • For example: if the tenant wishes to make a booking from January 1st 2018, she will have to wait until November 1st 2017 to make her request

How to book

With Spotahome, in-person visits are a thing of the past. Our team verifies the property to offer video tours and photos so you can view them online. We collect all the information you need to make your decision.
With just a few simple details you can make a request for the property. Remember, we won't charge you until the Landlord confirms.
The Landlord has 24 hours to respond to your booking request. If they accept, your payment method will be charged and we will put you in contact with the Landlord. If they don’t accept, no worries, you won't be charged and we'll help you find alternatives.
Arrange your move-in date, key collection and anything else directly with your Landlord. As an extra security step, we will only transfer the first month's rent to the Landlord 48 hours after you move in, unless you contact us with a problem.
Remember: you have 24h to check your new home
If the property is significantly different to what our listing promised, let us know within 24h since you move in so that we can work to resolve it.
