This studio apartment to rent on Calle Olivar isn’t large, but the design and layout make it feel spacious—it's perfect for one! Instantly, you arrive in the kitchenette, which is equipped and includes a washing machine, hidden behind a door near the microwave. A large window gives the area natural light, especially during the afternoon. Near the entrance is a shelving unit with drawers that you can use as a desk, and there is a large comfy sofa. A small partition juts out from the wall and divides the space from the bedroom, but there is also a curtain you can pull across to make the rest area more private. There is a huge wardrobe, and a modern bathroom is just past an additional doorway that has gorgeous rustic touches.
Lavapiés is a fantastic neighborhood in Madrid, and your apartment is practically right in the heart of it. You can connect with public transportation easily enough from here, but there is so much in this area that you might never want to leave. Around every corner, you’ll find a restaurant or nightclub, and there is even an ice-cream shop just 3-minutes away. Although there is a mini-market right beside the gelateria, there is a larger supermarket just up the street from it. There is a natural food store just a 1-minute walk away. If you aren’t into dancing the nights away, you might want to take in a play at one of the half dozen theaters in your immediate area.
What we liked the most
- The apartment is much more spacious than you’d expect, and exceptionally comfortable to boot.
- Recently renovated, everything is brand new!
- Grocery stores are nearby, and there is also a natural food and an organic store near the apartment.
- Theaters seem to be everywhere in this neighborhood, and there are a couple of great little concert venues as well.
- If you like to dine out, there are plenty of tapas bars and ethnic restaurants close by.
