This generous 2nd-floor studio flat on Penywern Road, located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, combines all your living necessities into a single space. With a futon that can be used as a sofa during the day or as a double bed at night, the open-concept floor plan makes the most of the space available, combining living, dining and sleeping areas into one, with lots of natural light pouring in from a large window overlooking the street. The compact, fully-equipped kitchen completes the space with a two-burner stovetop, oven, microwave and a small fridge. Plus, the building also has a shared laundry room for tenants to use, with washer and dryer.
The Victorian-style building is located only minutes from the former site of the renowned Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, in the heart of the vibrant district. Legendary coffee house and music venue The Troubadour is less than 5 minutes away, along with plenty of other pubs and restaurants on Old Brompton Road. Kensington High Street, one of London's most popular shopping streets, is just 10 minutes out, and schools like Imperial College London and the Royal Colleges of Art and Music are at the distance of a 20-minute walk. On Sunday afternoons, maybe you'll want to head to Stamford Bridge to catch Chelsea FC playing at home. The stadium is only 20 minutes away from your front door.
What we liked the most
- Having a shared laundry room in the building sure comes in handy.
- The architecture of this part of West London is beautiful.
- The area is nice and quiet, and yet you're close to public transportation and to the heart of London.
- We're not sure which of the many pubs around we like the most yet, but we're ready to find out!
