Spotahome's opinion
This roomy studio flat on the 3rd floor of a Victorian-style building on Penywern Road makes the most of its space by bringing living, sleeping, dining and kitchen areas together in an open-concept floor plan. Only the modern private bathroom with shower hides from view. A futon doubles as a sofa during the day and as a comfortable bed at night, adding versatility to the bright space. Lots of natural light pour in from the large window that overlooks the street, and a compact, fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stovetop, oven and microwave complete the space. The building has a shared laundry room for tenants, with washer and dryer.
Located only minutes from the former site of the Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, you'll be in the heart of the vibrant Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. You won't need to walk more than 5 minute to hit the restaurants and pubs of Old Brompton Road and check out The Troubadour, a coffee house and music venue that was established in 1954 and played a key role in the 1950s and 60s folk music revival. The popular shopping hub of Kensington High Street, is only 10 minutes away. And if you're a Chelsea fan, the blues' home stadium, Stamford Bridge, is just 20 minutes away.
What we liked the most
- The laundry room in the building, with shared washer and dryer, will be very useful.
- The public transportation situation in the area is pretty good. You can get anywhere in London very easily.
- It's a nice and quiet residential neighbourhood, but still lots to do around.
- We're going to have to try all the pubs within a 5-minute walk before we can determine which one we like the most. It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it!
