There is a room to rent in this 2-bedroom apartment with live-in landlords on Archers Square in Lewisham. This is a lovely apartment with hard wood floors. The kitchen is a shared area and is well-equipped. Next to this is the living room which has 2 sofas and a TV. The tenant's bathroom is upstairs and has a shower/bath and toilet.

This apartment is in New Cross in South-East London with several stations nearby the apartment including New Cross, New Cross Gate and Canada Water. The area is very residential, with more flats neighbouring, which makes it green and peaceful.

What we liked the most

  • There is a separate fridge for the landlord and the tenants, which means you have plenty of storage space for food.
  • You can access a patio/garden from the living room, which would be nice in the summer.
  • There is parking available with this apartment which gives you better access to the rest of London.
  • The nearby park has a café, great for a morning coffee and catch up with friends.
  • There is bakery nearby that does fantastic cakes!

Things to keep in mind

  • The living room is available to use but is mainly for the landlord, and won't be allowed for use for long periods of time or late into the evening.
  • The downstairs bathroom is for landlord use only.
  • The kitchen has separate appliances for the landlord and the tenants.

  • New Cross Gate National Rail station is a 13-minute walk from the apartment and serves the Overground, Southern and Thameslink services.
  • At the end of your street is a bus stop that caters to the 225 bus. A slightly further walk and you can catch the 53, 177 or 453.

Flatmates

Living here it could get awfully lonely, however that won't be a problem as you'll be living with the 2 live-in landlords. Beverly and Dennis are a lovely couple in their 60's who treat their tenants as family. They both work full time and enjoy going to the gym, eating out and reading a good book.
