Spotahome's opinion

This modern 3-bedroom flat with rooms to rent on Barking Road is on the 4th floor. Before you enter the apartment, you’ll notice a wide balcony that overlooks the street. Inside the flat are gorgeous hardwood floors. The shared bathroom is at the entrance. It has a tub and wood shelving. At the end of the hall is the shared dining room and L-shaped kitchen, which is fully equipped. It’s a space in the middle of the flat, so there aren’t windows. However, it’s comfy with a contemporary style and modern appliances. It includes a dishwasher and dining table. There is also a closet, which is where you’ll find the washing machine.

The 2012 Olympics transformed Newham. Today, it’s full of young professionals. It’s far enough from the city to feel peaceful, but close enough that the commute to downtown, or to the University of East London, is quick and easy. Your new home is at the southern end of the area. You’re close to Malmesbury Road Park and a 10-minute tube ride away from the O2. There is a pharmacy, fitness centre, and supermarket just 1 minute away. And although there aren’t a lot of them nearby, you’ll find a couple of lovely pubs, cafés, and restaurants.

What we liked the most

  • The kitchen is a spacious and modern area where you can eat and socialize.
  • You have access to a washing machine and a dishwasher.
  • There is a gym and supermarket right outside your door.
  • The University of East London is roughly 20 minutes away on the DLR.
