This 1st floor, 1-bedroom flat for rent on Brick Lane has big windows overlooking the street. In the small entrance hall you’ll find your bathroom, which has a shower cabinet and heated towel rack. To the right of the front door is the main living space. It’s furnished with a sofa bed, big comfy love seat, TV, and 4-seat dining table. The U-shaped kitchen is in a little room near the table. It’s a compact and comfortable space, but it isn’t equipped with dishes or cookware. It has a small fridge, stove, oven, and a washing machine. A second fridge is located in a corner of the dining area. The bedroom has a double bed and storage for clothes. Plus, you get access to a lovely patio from this room.
Tower Hamlets is to the east of London. It’s a multicultural neighborhood, and more recently it has been on the map as a hipster hot spot. With this in mind, your new home is at the centre of it all — or at least across the street. On weekends, people descend to your street for the Vintage Market and Sunday Upmarket. The Old Spitalfields Market is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are many other nearby vintage stores. There are a few really cool pubs and lounges around your block. The Rich Mix cinema is 5 minutes away and Allen Gardens is also nearby.
What we liked the most
- You can escape through your bedroom onto a private wooden terrace.
- Coventry University London is only a 10-minute walk away.
- The area is fast becoming a hipster hot spot with pubs and vintage markets all around.
- The Underground District Line can get you downtown in 25 minutes.
