Spotahome's opinion
This 1-bedroom flat for rent on Freda Street is on the 4th floor. There is an elevator, or walk up the stairs and skip the gym membership! The apartment space is surprisingly spacious. A hallway leads from the front door to the main living space. The bedroom is the first door on your left. It’s spacious with a bright window and a view. Also in the hall is a laundry space with a combined washer and dryer. The modern bathroom, which has a tub, is the last door before entering the living space. While it has distinct spaces, it’s an open-plan room furnished with a gorgeous sofa and armchair. The living room overlooks a fabulous balcony. There is a 4-seat dining table located closer to the contemporary and fully-equipped kitchen. You get so much light in this space that you might feel like you’re living outdoors!
Southwark is one of the oldest areas of London. The river Thames is just a 10-minute walk from your door, and Tower Bridge is 13 minutes away. Although an older part of town, there are plenty of modern things to do. There is an Athletics Center in Southwark Park, just 11 minutes away. And, nearby there is a climbing wall, a karting track and a gym. The Fashion and Textile Museum is a 15-minute walk, and it’s close to White Cube, which is a commercial art gallery. There is a Tesco Metro on your block, and there is also a Tesco Superstore 20 minutes away.
What we liked the most
- Everyone loves a balcony, but this modern flat is itself bright with lots of light spilling in from the windows.
- You can get away from it all by strolling along the Thames, or taking a walk through Southwark Park.
- The area is rich in history, as well as museums and sights.
- There are a number of bars, restaurants and theaters as you near Tower Bridge.
