This affordable 1-bedroom apartment with a room to rent on Rue Saint-Christophe is located on the ground floor. The setup is rather unique. You’ll be sharing the space with a landlord who will stay in the apartment only a few days a month. Otherwise, you have the space to yourself. The kitchen, living, and dining room is an open-plan space. The kitchen is equipped and includes a dishwasher and counter table. There is also a large sofa and TV. The modern bathroom is spacious and includes a washing machine. The toilet room is separate.

Brussels city center is a fantastic neighborhood. There are few tourist sites that you can’t walk to within minutes. You’re also well connected by public transit, so if you can’t walk, you still have easy access to other parts of the city. There are shopping malls and cinemas nearby. Halles Saint-Géry, which is 2 minutes away, is a great spot to grab a beer or cocktail. Vanhaerents Art Collection is a 5-minute walk away and you can reach the Royal Palace with a 20-minute stroll.

What we liked the most

  • The decor is stylish and ceilings are high.
  • There is a washing machine in the modern bathroom.
  • You’re in a central location and can walk to most popular sites.
  • Great tram, bus, metro and train connections get you quickly to a few universities.

Things to keep in mind

  • The landlord won't be around much, but when he is, he will crash in the living room. Those late night fridge raids can be a little awkward.
