This 2-bedroom apartment, with an ensuite in each room is located on Chaussée de Vleurgat in the upmarket suburb of Ixelles, in Brussels. Fitted with a study off one of the bedrooms, and a spacious garden with a patio, the apartment is an excellent choice for professionals and couples. The apartment has a modern and high quality kitchen; no expense has been spared with the finish. The living area is huge, and surrounded by double glazed windows giving an excellent view of the garden and illuminating the entire apartment. The ceiling is also glass and can be closed over or open wide to let in even more light. The master bedroom has a walk-in-wardrobe and beautifully finished decor. This truly is a remarkable space. The apartment is 120 m².

The apartment and garden are well positioned and one would never imagine they were in the midst of a city, as the space is so quiet. Ixelles has everything you would expect from a city: Place Flagey is a short five minute walk away and offers bars and restaurants. The area is full of shops, galleries and theaters and the city center is only fifteen minutes away by foot. Ixelles is a prime area for those working at the European Institutions as they are easily accessed, while the universities are also close at hand.

What we liked the most

  • The flat is well located in the center and yet you still can’t hear anything from outside.
  • The exquisite and high quality finish ensures that the flat is in a ready-to-move in condition and that there will be little or no problems with any of the furnishings. It is a beautiful space.
  • The spacious garden is there for the keen gardener willing to grow their own organic vegetables...or they can just relax in the tranquility of the patio.
  • The living area is well lit as a result of the windows which surround it, yet you can easily cover them too if you require privacy or shade.
  • The master bedroom has a walk-in-wardrobe and the second bedroom has its own study, both excellently finished and ideal for professionals, families and couples.
  • Ixelles is on your doorstep so you can have the hustle & bustle of Place Flagey or the tranquility of your spacious home.

Things to keep in mind

  • The study is accessed via the second bedroom, so depending on the living situation is potentially only available for use by one of the tenants. There is however a multitude of space in the rest of the apartment so this may not be an issue!
  • During the summer months it may be advised to close over the shutters on the windows which line the living area in the case the temperature rises during the day, although this may block out the natural light.

Getting around

Transportation

The apartment is particularly well connected to buses and trams that will take you in and around Brussels in next to no time. Biarritz bus station is one minute by foot from the apartment and connects with lines 38 and 60. Vieurgat Tram stop is only two minutes from the apartment and tram numbers 93 and 94 pass through here. Slightly further is Flagey which has tram number 81 and bus number 71. This is only 5 minutes from the apartment however! The Gare Bruxelles-Luxembourg has bus lines 12, 21, 22, 27 and 64 and one which goes directly to the airport. This station is just under ten minutes from the apartment. The European Institutions and universities are all easily reached by public transport in under twenty minutes while the city center is five - ten minutes by tram or by bus.
