This is a very large loft - a loft to live in! Based in Chatelain Kastelijn to the south of Brussels city centre, this property may sound like a loft studio, but feels like a spacious 1-bedroom, 2nd floor apartment.

The loft is split into 2 key sections - the bedroom, which has access to the roof-top terrace - and the living room, which also connects to a private bathroom. The only thing the apartment lacks is a kitchen, which is shared other tenants on the ground floor of the property. The bedroom comes with a double bed, large radiator, storage space and direct access to the terrace. The living room has a standalone wardrobe and clothes rack, and leads to the bathroom, which has a bathtub, toilet, sink, and extra storage space.

The property is close to a number of popular galleries and restaurants, and the local "Escape Room" game - perfect for if you want to feel like Sherlock Holmes during the weekends.

What we liked the most

  • The loft is larger than most, and feels like its own property.
  • The rooftop terrace is all yours. Enjoy it!
  • There is a lot of floor space in the studio. You could fit a grand piano in there if it fitted up the stairs!
  • Ixelles is an active neighbourhood, close to popular shops, restaurants and art galleries.
