This ground floor, 1-bedroom apartment for rent on Scharnweberstrasse is ideal for professionals. As you enter the apartment, you’ll notice three doors. Immediately to the right is a large storage closet. In front of the door is a spacious bathroom with a glass shower stall. The washing machine and dryer are located here, behind the door. The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining room is huge with three glass doors leading to a wood patio. The kitchen has a unique design and is fully equipped. The rest of the space is furnished with a dining table and chairs, sofa, coffee table, and TV. Through this area, you can access the office, which has a sofa bed, and the bedroom with a huge wardrobe.
Friedrichshain has an alternative vibe, but there are quiet spots, too. Your new home is located in one of those peaceful pockets. However, when you want action, you don’t have to go far. Plaza Frankfurter Allee is a large shopping mall just 10 minutes away. You’re also less than 20 minutes from Boxhagener Platz and Simon-Dach-Strasse, which is the neighborhood hot-spot. You’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants here, as well as a cinema. If you like to jog or picnic, you’re close to two parks, including Lichtenberg Park. And the neighborhood has a rich history you can explore at your leisure.
What we liked the most
- The entire space is bright, stylish, and fabulous.
- You can easily access the backyard patio from all the rooms.
- There is a large shopping mall just down the street.
- The area has terrific public transit connections to the whole of Berlin.
Things to keep in mind
- Some of the pieces of furniture shown might be removed (like the two lounge chairs, small table and sideboard in the living room) or swapped (like the dining table and the sofas) before you move in.
