Spotahome's opinion

This studio apartment to rent on Passeig del Born is a great jumping off point to explore Barcelona, and it’s a terrifically sunny space to boot! Unusually, the entrance is in the bedroom, which is spacious with a lovely decor and has a beautiful set of French doors leading to an interior patio. It’s partially hidden from the open-plan space, but doesn’t have a door. The rest of the apartment has a more typical layout. The equipped kitchen is minimalist with a hot plate, microwave, fridge and a counter top serving as a table for four. The bathroom is modern and roomy, and the living area is very large with 2 French balconies, a sofa bed and a blend of modern and rustic furnishings.

One look around your neighborhood and you instantly know that El Born is a happening spot. Even the area around your building is densely populated with tapas bars, cocktail lounges and restaurants. If you never want to cook another meal in your life, this is the perfect neighborhood to live in! It’s also quite a fascinating one with many narrow medieval streets. Popular tourist sites like the Picasso Museum are easy to come by, and to escape the busy streets, you can duck into the sprawling and gorgeous Ciutadella Park, just 5 minutes away.

What we liked the most

  • The apartment has an unusual entryway, but it’s roomy, and the mix of modern and rustic touches is fantastic. The worn look of the French doors is truly wonderful!
  • With all the bars and restaurants, you could dine out every day and night if you wanted to!
  • There are grocery stores nearby and the Santa Caterina market is just 7 minutes away.
  • When you want to escape the bustle of the neighborhood, the Ciutadella Park is just around the corner.
