This 1-bedroom apartment to rent on Carrer dels Bays Nous is on the 5th floor, but it has a huge amount of charm, and you can't beat having access to 2 private terraces. You won’t need to go to the gym living in this old building, because there isn’t an elevator and you’ll have to climb the stairs daily. Entering the apartment, you'll find a huge hallway which opens onto a living area with a bed, chair and a TV stand. From here, you can access the bedroom, furnished with a double bed and dresser. There is a large walk-in closet with potential to use as a studio or office, and the equipped kitchen is also very spacious.

Barri Gòtic may be an old neighborhood, but it’s a lively and colorful one as well. You can spend hours sipping coffee and people-watching in the popular Plaça Reial, which is just 4 minutes away, or at night stroll down the nearby La Rambla and check out all the restaurants and clubs. Shopping won’t be an issue living here, because the famous La Boqueria market is just 7 minutes away. Even closer to home are dozens of cafés, restaurants, and clothing shops, and there is even a yoga studio just 2 minutes from your door.

What we liked the most

  • You have to walk up the stairs to get to this apartment, but with relaxing chairs and a hammock on the terrace, there is always a little paradise at the end of the climb.
  • If you love the night life, you’ll love being close to so many bars, theaters, and restaurants.
  • Day or night, you can people watch on La Rambla, only a few minutes away.
  • The central location means you're within walking distance of most of the museums and popular sights in downtown Barcelona.
  • The storage closet is available to the tenant to be used for storage or even as an additional bedroom, but it does not come furnished with a bed.

Things to keep in mind

  • This one-bedroom apartment is on the top floor of a old building without an elevator. It's the equivalent to a 5th floor, so you'll get plenty of exercise.
