At first glance, this contemporary 2-bedroom apartment seems out of place amidst the tranquil rolling hills and valleys of Horta-Guinardó. However, when you learn that this millennia-old district didn’t find its way to urbanization until the 1950s, the mod decor of the open kitchen and swank living room reveals itself as a perfect pairing. Fortunately, for modern-day movers and shakers, the apartment is 21st century-ready with all the conveniences you need, including a sizable flatscreen TV and Wi-Fi throughout the space.

Although the apartment is located in peaceful El Guinardó, it’s also very close to La Sagrera, which always seems to bustle with traditional cultural events.If you want to immerse yourself in a community, then this neighborhood offers plenty of opportunities to connect with locals. Still, with the Congrés metro station a few steps away from the front door, you can be living it up in downtown Barcelona within a half hour, before retiring to the mellow landscapes of Horta-Guinardó.
