Spotahome's opinion

We love this refurbished apartment in the heart of the city. The 35 m², 1-bedroom apartment has a modern interior, with brand-new appliances and furnishings, with only the older plasterwork and brick beneath the white paint belying the history of the building. Step out onto the balcony though, and you can feel the age of the city, on this gorgeous narrow street, peaceful, but brimming with life, visible in the laundry hanging from every balcony. Back inside, the renovation has created a comfortable and contemporary home, with lots of little touches to make it stand out from the crowd.

On Carrer de Sant Bartomeu in the ancient area of El Raval the apartment just down the road from the terraces and bars of Rambla de Raval, and just a short work from the more famous La Rambla. Life in the heart of the city is tapas and good wine on sunny terraces, walks along tree-lined avenues, and browsing stores on secret side streets. It's stumbling across plazas you didn't know where there, and accidentally spending a day in them, laughing with the locals. It's the stroll to the seafront, and the walk by the harbour to La Barceloneta, to relax on the beach. Life... sounds good to us!

What we liked the most

  • We love the look of the shower, with rain function and massage jets, for the ultimate in relaxation.
  • The big sofa bed in the living room is ideal for when guests visit.
  • Mirador de Poble Sec park is a short walk away. Get to the top of the hill here for great views of the city.
  • Like to keep fit? There's a bicycle station just around the corner from the apartment.
